A strong, vibrant and high-quality research and innovation ecosystem is critical for driving the prosperity of NSW and the nation. Research delivers the new ideas, products and skills needed to address complex policy issues and increase the take-up of technology to support productivity growth.
The Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer (OCSE) invests in research and development to ensure NSW is well positioned to respond to emerging and existing challenges through administration of the NSW Government's Research Attraction and Acceleration Program (RAAP). The RAAP strengthens the strategic links between diverse research stakeholders and provides funding to programs and projects based in NSW.
